Who are we?
Toddler Tastic Art is a warm and welcoming place for you and your toddler to enjoy the awe & wonder through different art & crafts.
What will my child do?
At our venue - Bracken Tor room at the Ockment Centre, we have several interactive art stations where there will be at least two structured stimulating activities based on a theme.
Example stimulating activities for the theme SPACE
- Mess-Free Galaxy Bags - let your baby squish, push, and slide the paints together to make a marbled galaxy.
- Foil-Stamped Moons.
The theme will change on a weekly basis.
In addition to the main projects you and your child will have access to other fun activities each week such as the
- cut & stick table - changes weekly
- play dough/messy play table - changes weekly
- general painting table - changes weekly
- messy play table - changes weekly
There will be an additional interactive art station for 3 and 4 year olds where activities will be more age - appropriate for their age but they can still join in with the other activities too.
There will be a focus to support your child's sensory, expressive art and language & communication development on each table but if you and your child would prefer to simply have fun and explore the activities together in your own way, then that is fine too.
The activities have been carefully planned by Rebecca to support your child's sensory and expressive art development. She will be on hand at all times to support and guide where needed. You will be free to have fun with your toddler at each of the interactive art tables.
By the end of the class, your child will have lots of lovely art work to take home to be admired by friends and family.

How long does a Toddler Art class last?
You have a choice of either a 60 minute or a 90 minute session.
How much does each Toddler Tastic Art class cost?
60 minute session costs
1 parent - free
1 child - £7.95
1 additional child - £6
90 minute session costs
1 parent - free
1 child - £9.95
1 additional child - £8

We hope to have a Toddler Tastic Art membership scheme which will be cost effective to parents/carers.
Where do the Toddler Tastic Art classes take place?
The Toddler Tastic Art classes take place in the Bracken Tor room in the Ockment Centre. Please come to reception and they will show you the way.

Friday 2nd October - The Gruffalo
Friday 9th October - Sensory Autumnal Art
Friday 23rd October - Nursery Rhymes
Friday 30th October - The Stickman and the Pumpkin

What time to the Toddler Tastic Art classes start?
We start at 9.45am.
Does my child need an apron?
We provide an apron but you may prefer your child to use one from home or wear suitable clothing for art.
Who runs the Toddler Tastic Art class
- The Toddler Tastic Art sessions are run by Rebecca Smith, a qualified primary school teacher, SENCO and previous Head Teacher. Overall, 28 years of experience in the education system, including managing a school nursery with 2 to 4 year olds.
- Up to date Enhanced DBS check and level 2+ 3 safeguarding training.
- Qualified in Paediatric First Aid and First Aid at Work.
