What will my child do?

At our venue at Moretonhampstead Parish Hall, your child will have a fabulous 3 hours combining elements of art, design and engineering to form different 3D sculptures using various shapes, natural wood and recycled materials.

The children will also be learning and developing the skills of

- design,

- cutting,

- painting,

- colour mixing

In Tavistock, our focus will be slightly different as we are linking our activities to Tavistock Library Summer Reading Challenge Theme 'Things on Wheels'.

During the three hours at Tavistock library we will be creating 3d models of different forms of transport such as racing cars and aeroplanes.  We will also explore structures related to transport, such as forming bridges for cars and trains.

Building with Meccano and Kinnex

In addition to the above activities, children will also have the time to use their engineering skills to build different 3d objects using Meccano and Kinnex.  Age appropriate construction toys will be provided so there will be something for all to do.
